About Us
An Taisce’s Climate Action Team is empowering a climate literate community through creative communications and engaging actions, building resilience with people.
What is Climate Action Week?
Behavioural change and climate action are a fundamental part our lives, 365 days of the year! But for one week in October, we want to switch the focus from fundamental to fun!
Climate Action Week, Ireland’s largest pop-up climate festival, has been coordinated by An Taisce since 2017, on behalf of the Department of Climate, Energy and Environment. Our 9th festival is back, bringing nationwide spaces that champion local planet protectors and welcome solution seekers to events that tackle the climate crisis in exciting and empowering ways.
Past Events
Previously, there have been neon bike discos, tree planting, forest bathing, movie screenings, swap shops, sustainable foodie trails, repair cafes, neighbourhood dinner parties, storytelling, dance exhibitions, engaging panel discussions, even Climate Cabaret & Comedy Nights!
Planning your Climate Action Week!
This year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better. So we’re making it easier, here on our low-carbon website, for facilitators to host and promote their events and for everyone to discover what’s happening around the country for #ClimateActionWeek!
2024 Impact
